Nebraska Terms of Use

These terms apply when you visit or use Nebraska Busted Mugshots and its linked search tools. By continuing to use the service, you agree to these conditions. If you do not accept them, stop using the site.

Nebraska Busted Mugshots is a private reference resource, not a government agency and not affiliated with a Nebraska sheriff, jail, corrections department, or court. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provide consumer-reporting services covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). This service is not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of This Service

This is a privately operated information and routing resource. It has no government affiliation, does not keep official booking, jail, court, or corrections files, and cannot confirm custody or release a person.

The Nebraska pages identify public source paths for county arrest records, booking photographs, court case information, state-prison records, and selected federal or archival systems. Outside search tools may be linked, but their results and services are controlled by their own operators.

Acceptable Use

Use the service lawfully and do not interfere with another person's rights or the operation of the site.

  • Do not use the site to break a law, stalk, harass, threaten, or harm anyone.
  • Do not use its information for credit, employment, insurance, housing, tenant-screening, licensing, or other FCRA-regulated decisions.
  • Do not try to access a system or account without permission.
  • Do not run bots, scrapers, or other automated collection without written approval.
  • Do not disrupt access or prevent other visitors from using the service.
  • Do not misstate a charge or booking as a conviction; check the court record for the outcome.

FCRA Use Is Prohibited

Nebraska Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not offer consumer reports, credit reports, or screening services. You agree not to use information from this service or its linked providers for any purpose regulated by that law, including:

  • Decisions to hire, fire, promote, or retain a worker.
  • Housing or tenant-screening decisions.
  • Creditworthiness or insurance pricing decisions.
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility decisions.
  • Any other use covered by the FCRA.

External Sites and Public Records

Links may lead to sheriff and jail rosters, corrections systems, court portals, county sites, public agencies, archives, or outside search tools. A link is provided for reference and does not endorse the destination. The external operator controls its content, data practices, access terms, and availability, so review those terms before using it.

Nebraska's Public Records Act, Neb. Rev. Stat. §84-712, addresses public access to qualifying records held by government agencies. It does not make this privately run site a records custodian or require an outside service to follow the same terms.

As-Is Service and No Warranties

The site and its content are offered “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made about:

  • Accuracy, completeness, or current status.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free access.
  • Security against every defect or attack.
  • Coverage or result quality from a partner tool.

Custody and court records can change without notice. Nothing here is an official statement from a sheriff, court, corrections department, or other public agency.

Limit on Liability

To the extent allowed by law, the site's operators are not liable for direct or indirect loss or damages arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on this service or an outside link.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless the site's owners and operators from claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs caused by your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

Ownership of Site Material

Text, graphics, logos, and code created for Nebraska Busted Mugshots belong to the site or its content partners unless a different source is identified. Do not copy, distribute, or alter protected material without written permission.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A change takes effect when the updated text is posted on this page.

Access May Be Restricted

Access to some or all of the service may be limited, suspended, or ended at any time, with or without notice.

Nebraska Governing Law

Nebraska law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where permitted, a dispute must be brought in a court located in Nebraska.

Severability

If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in force. The affected part will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable where allowed.
